GOLF

REDWOOD’S VALLEY CLUB Although the season is well advanced, it has been decided by the Redwood’s Valley Club to play championships for ladies and for men. The first round will be completed this week. Practically all the members are playing in these matches and gaining useful experience in serious play. Mr Lou Challies has kindly presented a cup for the men’s chain-' pionship to be competed for lyAs far as can be seen at present the links will be available for play through the summer, although temporary “greens” will of necessity be utilised.

In the last competition Mrs A. S. Robinson and Mr M. J. Ching were successful in their respective events.
