NELSON CYCLING CLUB

LUMMIS WINS EIGHT LAP RACE On Saturday the Nelson Cycling Club held an eight lap race totalling 64 miles. The course was from the Post Office via the Port to Stoke intersection. turning up the hill to Wakatu, over Bishopdale Hill, turning at Hale’s corner to Tipahi, Motueka and Vanguard streets to Day’s corner, continuing the laps, and finishing by All Saints’ Church. The race proved strenuous and interesting, resulting as follows: — A. Lummis (14£min.), 3hrs 18min 56sec 1 G. White (14imin) 2 J. Guthrie (14£min) 3 Lummis’s v/inning time was also the fastest of the race.
