ARCHITECT’S APPOINTMENT FORESHADOWED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of Mr Gordon F. Wilson, Auckland, as architect to the Ministry of Housing, is expected to be announced officially this week. Mr Wilson, who is a member of the firm of Messrs Gummer and Ford, architects. Auckland, has had experience overseas of housing construction schemes, and in his new sphere of duties will co-operate with the Director of Housing Construction, Mr A. Tyndall, and the Director of Town Planning. Mr R. B. Hammond, in planning details of the various schemes which the Government proposes to undertake. He will also be in the position to maintain contact with the New Zealand Institute of Architects, which has promised its full cooperation with the Government in its housing construction programme.
