The first international final in women’s golf since 1913 was assured to-day when Miss Pam Barton, the British title-holder, won her semifinal round match in the national women’s championship, defeating Miss Marion Miley (Kentucky), 3 and 1. Miss Barton’s opponent in to-mor-row’s 36-hole finab will be Miss Maureen Orcutt Crews, who to-day defeated Miss Kathryn Hemphill (Columbia, South Carolina), 4 and 2. MISS BARTON WINS FIRST ENGLISH WINNER SINCE 1913 NEW YORK, 3rd October. Miss Pamela Barton (Britain) to.day won the women’s golf championship of America, defeating Maureen Crews, 4 and 3 over 36 holes. Miss Barton is the first English winner since 1913.
