INAUGURAL MEETING
COUNCIL OF THE LEAGUE IN MAGNIFICENT CHAMBER (United Press Association —By Eleotrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 3rd October. 2 p.m.) GENEVA, 2nd October. The Associated Press says that the inaugural meeting of the Council was held in the magnificent new chamber. Mr W. J. Jordan declared he was most happy that New Zealand’s accession to the Council coincided with such an important occasion. He was conscious of great responsibility and it would be especially hard to follow in the footsteps of Australia.
