OBITUARY

ROMAN CATHOLIC ARCHBISHOP OF HOBART (United Press Association—By Electric 1 clegraph—Copyright) (Received 3rd October, 10.25 a.m ) SYDNEY, This Day. The death occurred at a Sydney private hospital of the Most Rev. Dr William Hayden, fourth Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart, aged 67 years. The Most Rev. William Hayden had been Roman Catholic Archbishop of Hobart since 1930. He was born near Kilkenny on 15th March 1868, and was educated at St. Kieran’s College, Kilkenny and the Propaganda College, Rome. He was Bishop of Wilcannia-, Forbes from 1918 to 1930.
