MR JORDAN ADDRESSES GENEVA COMMITTEE (United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 3rd October, 1 p.m.) LONDON, 2nd October. The Associated Press Geneva correspondent says that the Fifth Committee began a study of child welfare and listened with close attention to Mr W. J. Jordan’s (New Zealand High Commissioner) account of New Zealand’s extensive work in the field. While commanding the services for improving the lot of minority children who come before courts and other public authorities Mr Jordan made a strong plea for attention to the requirements of the normal child, especially in rural districts.
