KING AND GREEK ANTIQUITIES
EXHIBITION OF TREASURES IN LONDON (By Air Mail— From Our Own Correspondent) LONDON, 3rd September. The promoters of the exhibition of Greek antiquities, which is to be held at Burlington House ■ during the autumn, are especially interested m the visit of King Edward to Greece and his trips to places of historical importance. They regard this as a happy omen for the forthcoming exhibition in London to be honoured by His Majesty’s presence. The Duke of Kent will formally inaugurate the exhibition early in October and the event is to celebrate the golden jubilee of the British School of Archaeology at Athens, an institution in which the King has always displayed interest. Many of the treasures which are to be included in the exhibition are being sent direct from Greece whilst others will be loaned from the Ashmolean Museum at Oxford, which is familiar to His Majesty and was frequently visited by him when he was at Oxford.
