MOUTERE BRANCH, W.D.F.U.

A very well attended meeting of the Moutere branch of the W.D.F.U. was held at Mrs Beuke’s residence, Neudorf. Mrs Beuke, president, opened the meeting with the reading of the Creed. _ Mrs Beuke read her report of the executive meeting. The next meeting is to be held at Braeburn and the competition is to be a Christmas cake made from a specified recipe.

In the competition for the best article made from not more than three skeins of wool, many dainty articles were shown, Mrs Clouston and Mrs Flett tied for first place. Sixpenny surprise packets caused much amusement and added to the funds. ■ j The Upper Moutere and Neudorf members provided supper. A hearty vote of thanks .was passed to Mrs Beuke for the use of her home. t -
