ALLOCATION DURING ABSENCE (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The allocation of the Hon. W. Nash’s portfolios and the Departments of •which he has been in charge has been completed as follows: — Finance, Reserve Bank, Stamp Duties, Land and Income Tax and States Advances, the Prime Minister. Marketing, the Hon. W. Lee-Martin. Customs, the Hon. Mark Fagan.

Government Life and Public Service Superannuation, the Hon. W. E. Parry. State Fire and Accident, the Hon. F. Jones.

Public Trust, the Hon. H. G. R, Mason.

Census and Statistics, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan.

Mr Fagan, who takes over the portfolio of Sustoms is Leader of the Legislative Council and previously has been a member of the Executive Council without portfolio. Mr Nash will leave Wellington on Sunday, 11th October, and will depart from New Zealand by the Aorangi, sailing from Auckland on Tuesday, 13th October.
