BEAUTIFUL PLUNKET BABY PHOTO COMPETITION
The Beautiful Plunket Baby Photo competition which is being conducted by the local committee to raise funds for the Plunket Society’s work is arousing considerable interest, and the photographers report that numerous appointments have already been arranged. The committee advise all mothers who intend entering their children’s photos to do so with as little delay as possible as entries close on the Kith of tiiis month and the committee anticipate having a busy time in checking, numbering and classifying the photos for the five various classes, viz., (1) the most beautiful child under six months, (2) between six and 12 months, (3) between one and two years, (4) between- two and six years, (5) for twins under six years. Prizes will be awarded the winner in each class and a five guinea prize to the photo receiving the greatest aggregate of penny votes. From time to time comment on the beauty and physique of Nelson children has been made by distinguished visitors, therefore it is anticipated that the competition will bring forth photos well worth exhibiting. The exhibition of the photos will be held in Messrs Trathen and Co’s. Lounge (upstairs) from the 19th to the 31st October. Admission to this will be free and visitors will be entitled to record & vote for any photo at one penny a vote. Full particulars and entry forms can be obtained at all photographers, most retail stores and the Plunket Rooms.!
