WEDDING
CUMMINGS—TUCKER The wedding was solemnised at St. Mark’s Church, Wellington, recently, of Enid, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Tucker, and Bert lan, youngest son of Mr and Mrs G. Cummings, Richmond, Nelson. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. N. F. .E. Robertshawe.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of silver-toned satin fashioned with a high cowled neckline, long tight sleeves, and a train. Pier embroidered veil, which was worn over the face, was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a sheaf of amaryllis lilies. The bridesmaids, Miss Gwen Howell and Miss Edna Thorn, were dressed alike in frocks of blue stiffened net over taffeta. They wore haloes of yellow spring flowers and carried bouquets to match. Mr V. Etwell. Christchurch, was best man and Mr Stanley Gill (brother of the bride) was groomsman. A reception was held at the Mayfair Cabaret where Mr and Mrs Tucker received the guests, the latter wearing a gown of navy'blue georgette and lace with hat to tone. She carried -a bouquet of cyclamen. Mrs D. Tucker, aunt of the bride, wore a gown of brown floral georgette with brown velvet coatee to match. When Mr and Mrs B. I. Cummings left for a tour of the South Island the latter was wearing an ensemble of duck-egg blue with navy hat and shoes.
