MUSIC TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION
NELSON BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING The June programme was presented to a good attendance of members of the Nelson branch of the Music Association at the School of Music, on Saturday evening. The programme, arranged by Mr and Mrs Du Flou, was as follows: — Organ solo, “Caprice (Guilmant), Miss G. Carty; vocal solo, “Villanelle,” (Eva d’ell Acqua), Miss Z. Smith; violo solo, “Romance” (Popper), Mr K. Gravit. vocal solo, “All Hail Abode,” from “Faust”, Mr Huggins; soprano solo, (a) “Spirit Flower” (Campbell Tipton); (b) “Hindu Song” (Rimsky Korsakoff), Mrs Noel Watson; harp solo, (a) “Serenade” (Schubert); (b) “The Gipsy Girl” (Chas. Oberthur), Mr J. Vitetta; vocal solo, (a) “June Music” (Lionel Trent); (b) “My Heart’s Desire,” (Coningsby Clarke), Mr D. Bishop; quartette and soli, “Light as Air” from “Faust”, Mrs Du Flou, Mrs Noble, Mr Huggins, Mr Du Flou. Accompaniments were played by Miss Wilding, Miss Jarmey, Miss Whiteford, and My Du Flou. 1 ROUND. For Comfort, Courtesy and Efficiency, travel by Newman’s The Cadillac Motor Sendee
