INDOOR BOWLS

The weekly competitions at the Jubilee Bowling Green were commenced on Monday evening with a four-handed snoker tournament. Twenty-four players took part and at the end of the third games Holmes and Boyle, and Glover and Burton had each won three games. Holmes and Boyle won the final by a substantial margin. On Tuesday the usual Trafalgar Shield series was replaced by a junior pairs competition which was won outright by Hardy and McLean. Eight rinks played in the open tournament last evening. Vitelta and Watson each won their three games and the finni was won by Watson with whom played L. Forster, Edgar and Wyber.
