AVIATION

ACTIVITY AT STOKE AERODROME

Mr A. Tregidga flying the West Coast United Aero Club’s Moth ZK-ADZ arrived at the Stoke Aerodrome on Friday afternoon from Hokitika. He returned to the Coast on Saturday.

On Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock a R.N.Z.A.F. Vickers Vildebeeste created much interest when it circled the city on a cross-country flight. At 10.45 a.m. yesterday Mr S. Hebberd, a Nelson pilot arrived in the Marlborough Aero Club’s Moth ZK-AAA from Blenheim. Mr Hebberd returned to Blenheim in the afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Piloting the Wellington Aero Club’s Waco ZK-ADE Mr K. G. Smith with Messrs H. C. Wilton, G. H. Clark and Captain Taylor as passengers arrived shortly after 1 o’clock yesterday. This machine returned to Wellington almost immediately with Mr H. C. Wilton the passenger.
