B ART LETT-T.EECE A quiet wedding was solenmised at St. Barnabas’ Ghurch, fttoite, of Myrtle juiian, eider daughter of Air and Mrs i-. recce, Upper Aloufere, and Julm Stewart, second son of Art's and urn late iit-v. «(. v«. ft. Bartlett of stoke, Nelson. i'nc Rev. C. I l ’. Saunders oiliciatcd and Miss Walsiebeu presided at the organ. The bride wore a becoming frock o, ivory satin beaute, cut on closely lilting jiHi.'.-,, u'un anger skill liicet sleeves and cone, ner ui., ilia corners oi which were embroidered, was fastened to the head by a coronet oi orange blossoms. Her armlet oj flowers was composed ot begonias and chrysanthemums. Attending her as bridesmaids were Miss Bessie Teece. sister of the bride and Miss Amy Hobern of Tahunanui. Both were gowned alike in frocks of marina blue dawn crepe cut fitting to the hips, and flared with shirred panels. They had the popular cowi neckline, and skirred capes on the shoulders. Thenbandeaux were of the same blue material plaited with silver. Mr Geoffrey Gould of Nelson attended as best man and the bridegroom’s brother, Mr David Bartlett as groomsman. A reception was held at the Mia Mia Tearooms where the guests were received by the bride’s mother, wearing a navy and white ensemble and hat to match. She carried a posy oi pink and red polyanthus roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a black floral ensemble and hat to match, and carried a posy of pink roses. The tables were tastefully decorated, making an attractive setting for the double-tiered wedding cake, When the bride and bridegroom left for their honeymoon in the North Island tiie bride was wearing a nigger brown cost mu? with accessories to match.
