THE ESTIMATES ADOPTED At yef terday’s meeting of the Waimea Electric Power Board the estimates were adopted as follows : WAIMEA AREA £ Administration 870 Production 1000 Distribution 1360 Interest 1055 Repairs to residence 25 Bulk Power Purchases 1250 Capital Extensions 500 Contingencies 300 Total £6500 Receipts. £6500. M.OTUEKA AREA £ Administration. » 1200 Production 1000 Distribution 1500 Interest and Sinking Fund 3450 Overdraft Redemption 500 Contingencies 350 Total £BOOO Receipts, £BOOO. ADDITIONAL BUSINESS Messrs Vickermau and Lancaster thanked the Board for reappointment as Oc>"sulting Engineers.
The committee recommended that the salary for the retaining engineers, Messrs Vickermau and Lancaster bo £IOO per year plus expenses; and that of Mr Andrews, supervising engineer, £350 per annum, an increase of £75. The recommendation was given effect to, the appointments to date from Ist Juno. The appointments were made yesterday after a lengthy discussion in committee on the question of a change in the management of the two systems', at Motueka and Brightwater. The expenditure of £IOO was authorised for suitable poles.
