LONDON’S “GREEN BELT”
. SUBSTANTIAL PROGRESS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 28th March. A report which will, come before the London County Council on Tuesday records substantial progress with the scheme to establish a “green belt” round outer London which will constitute a definite break in the spread of building developments. The purchase of about 18,000 acres in six counties at a cost of £713,000 lias already been provisionally approved.
