MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED

OVERTAKEN BY CAR (United Press Association) FOXTON, 25th March. A young man, Albert Johmn Edic, was killed on the Mimntangi highway a few miles north of Foxton shortly before midnight yesterday. His spine was fractured when the motor-cycle he was riding was overtaken and run into, by a. motor-car driven by Mr V. M. Greer, of Palmerston North. Edic, who was aged 19, was a postal clerk of Edievale, Otago, and had been staying with relatives at Orua Downs. He was cycling home from the pictures when the accident happened. He was killed instantly. Mr Greer was slightly cut on the cheek by flying glass.
