CHILD BURNT TO DEATH
IN BLAZING HAY SHED United Press Association) TAUMARUNUI, 28th March. Lorelei Margaret Springs, aged six years, living with her grandmother, Mrs Sheehan, was burnt to death this afternoon. Apparently the child was playing alone in a shed stacked with hay in which a fire broke, out. The blaz.e was seen by neighbours, who sent for the brigade, and the tragic discovery was made of the child’s body among the ruins of the shed. It is unknown how the fire originated.
