FATAL COLLISION

CYCLIST KILLED (United Press Association) DARGAVILLE, 28th March. A collision occurred at 12.45 a.today between a cycle ridden by Fred Clarke, aged 23. and a taxi driven by H. Searle on the Turiwiri road. The car was coming from tho opposite direction. Mr Clarke was thrown heavily from his machine and received injuries from which he died five hours later in tlie Te Kopuru Hospital. Mr Clarke was a native of Ireland, and was employed by T. H. Spence, of Turiwiri. An inquest will be held to-day.
