MOTOR CAMP AT TAHUNA

SITE SUGGESTED BY CITY COUNCIL The Nelson City Council recently took up the matter of providing a motor camping ground at Tahuna beach and at last night’s meeting the Committee of the Whole Council reported that it had visited the beach and recommended that a site be reserved for a camping ground to the north-west of the Dlodel Yacht Pond, ancl that the proposal be submitted to the Tahuna Sands Association for its consideration and with a view to making arrangements for supervision. The Dlayor (Dir G. L. Page) said the committee had suggested that site as it would be near to the dressing sheds, the present conveniences could be used, and the T.S.A. attendant could collect the fees and generally supervise the ground.
