MOTOR COLLISION AT ROCKLANDS

NELSON RESIDENTS INJURED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WESTPORT, This Day. A motor car driven by Mr Frank Mitchell, of Stoke, with Messrs David Bishop, J. P. Dyce, L. Lorenzen, and A. K. Newton, Ml of Nelson as passengers came into collision with Bett’s transport motor lorry near Rochlands, Duller Gorge on Saturday morning when coming through to Westport. The ambulance was sent for and took Messrs .jßishoj), Newton and Lorenzen to hospital. i:My Bishop was suffering from head injuries and shock, Mr Newton, head and wrist injuries, and Mr Lorenzen, head injuries. Messrs Newton and Lorenzen after treatment went out of hospital. Mr Mitchell’s car was very badly damaged.

All the members of the party except Mr Bishop returned to Nelson at the week-end. Mr Bishop returned by service car to-day.
