REFERENCE AT RICHMOND (From Our Own Correspondent; Before proceeding with business at the meeting of the Richmond Borough Council on Tuesday evening the Mayor (Mr H. Warren Kelly) in a few appropriate words referred to the lamented passing of the late King whose funeral was being commemorated that day and whose unexpected death had caused such widespread sorrow not only throughout the Empire but throughout the whole world. As a mark of loyalty and respect members of the Council stood in silence for a few moments.
