At the Musical and Elocutionary Competitions held in August six firsts and eight seconds were gained.

Pitman's Shorthand' Examinations.— 12C words per minute 1, 100 words 3, 90 words 5, 80 words 8, 70 words 2, 60 words 2, 50 words 5; Theoretical 4; Elementary 10. Southern Cross Commercial College Typewriting Examination.—Diploma 2; Advanced Grade 8 (Hons); Intermediate 3 (Hons.); Elementary 9 (Hons).
