OBITUARY
MR EL WOOD MEADE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) WASHINGTON, 27th January. The deatli has occurred after a week’s illness of Mr Elwood Meade, the wellknown engineer, who from 1907 to 1915 was chairman of the Stale Rivers and Water Supply Commission of Victoria. Death was due to old age and tlVroin- | bosis. His latest work had been in con- ] uection with the Boulder Dam project.
