ORDERED BACK TO WORK

STRIKING MOTORBUS EMPLOYEES PUBLIC MUST COME FIRST (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 15th January, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, 13tli January. A new precedent was created when the Government Traffic Commissioner used his powers to order motorbus workers at Southampton, striking since 4th January, back to work, declaring that the decision had nothing to do .with the merits of the dispute and that public convenience must come first. The Commissioner also ordered the employers to resume the bus services or else he would consider revoking the licenses. The employers and men will be given an opportunity of stating their cases in the Emergency Court under the provisions of the Road Act. SWI&sT ,j.
