AERIAL WARFARE
MAY BE REVOLUTIONISED GEODETIC' CONSTRUCTION (United Press Association— By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 15tli January, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, 13th January. The “Sun-Herald” says that experts believe that aerial warfare may be l evolutionised by a monoplane based on geodetic construction, invented by Mr B. N. Wallis, designer of the dirigible RIOO. The “Express” says the machine is 'constructed with wafer thin spars and tubes, and could be bullet riddled without collapsing. The Air Ministry has placed a large order with Vickers. The “Morning Post’s” aviation writer says goedetie construction will permit of sensational increases in speed, range and load.
