COLONIAL CLAIMS
HINT OF CONCERTED MOVE ITALY, GERMANY AND JAPAN AN ENTENTE SOUGHT' (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 9th January, 10.30 a.m.) LOTsDON, Bth January. The “Sun-Herald” says that added interest to the colonies movement which is the subject of almost daily dispatches from Berlin, Rome and Tokio, is given by the “Guardian’?” statement that Germany will press her claim for colonies gently, tactfully, but firmly in 1936. Emigration to German colonies simultaneously receives discreet encouragement. A considerable number of German manual labourers are steadily departing for East Africa. The “Telegraph’s” Paris correspondent hints at a concerted move by Italy, Germany and Japan, and says that Italy seeks ah entente with Germany which might be extended to Japan.
