OBITUARY

MRS CLARA SQUIRE

By the death of Mrs Clara Squire, relict of the late Mr J. W. Squire, the Golden Bay district lost an old and respected resident. Formerly Miss Jeffreys of Colliugwood the late Mrs Squire was married in that town and was buried there last week. For some years .Mrs Squire had been living in the North Island and her death occurred while on a visit to a daughter in the district in which she had lived for so many years. Most of Mrs Squire’s life was spent at Fern 'Town and Tukurua, near Onekaka. The late Mrs Squire left a family of two sons and two daughters. Messrs E. J Squire (Wakatu, Nelson), E. K. Squire (New Plymouth) and Mrs J. R. Duncan (Onekaka) and Mrs A. W. Peters (Palmerston North). There are also 20 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. MRS HELEN MILLICAN ...The death has occurred at Wellington of Mrs Helen Millican, relict of the late Mr John Millican, who for over 35 years was employed by the Nelson City Council. Mr Millican died some thirteen years ago. There are three children left to mourn their loss, Mr James V. Millican, and the Misses Lily and Ethel Millican all of Wellington. The funeral will leave (he Nelson Baptist Church tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon at 2.30 o'clock for the Nelson Cemetery.
