CHINAMEN FINED
FINGERPRINTS REVEAL PREVIOUS IDENTITY [By Telegraph—Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. A]i Hong, fruiterer, and Chan Kong, also a fruiterer, were each fined £ls by the Magistrate, Mr Stihvell, in default a month’s imprisonment, for being unlawfully on premises and for smoking opium. The case was the sequel to a raid on premises in Haining street early on Saturday morning. Detective-Sergeant Revell said that since arrested the fingerprints had shown that Ah Hong was identical with Te Hang who was fined £SO for keeping a common gaming house in Wellington in 1933, and Chan Kong was identical with Chin Kong who was fined £25 in 1930 at Auckland for possessing opium.
