JOURNEY TO MONTE CARLO LARGE BRITISH ENTRY (British Official Wireless) (Received 22nd January, 11.10 a.m.) RUGBY, 21st January. There are 55 British entrants representing one-third of the total for the Monte Carlo rally, which is generally recognised as the most severe of the winter motor car tests. The entrants started their journeys from various [mints on Saturday, there being six continental routes from Norway, Sweden, Esthonia,' Roumania, Greece and Sicily, and . one across Britain, starting at John O’ Groats. Of the 23 cars following the last named route all except one, which retired owing to illness of the passenger. arrived at Folkestone this morning for the channel crossing. Cars and their drivers have to reach Monte Carlo early on Wednesday, averaging 20 miles an hour from start to finish, with the exception that the speed has to he increased to HO miles an hour for the last GOO miles,
