APPEAL BY PREMIER VOTE OF CONFIDENCE GIVEN . (Unitea "Preen Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 14th November, 12.55 p.m.) PARIS, 13th November. M: Flandin, the new Premier, meeting the Chamber of Deputies for the first time, presented his Ministerial declaration. lie warned critics that France was making the last experiment in parliamentarism. “Our sole object,” he said, “is to maintain peace at home and abroad, so I ask you to forget quarrels and set an example of union.” Replying to a Socialist inquiry regarding restoration of freedom of trade, M. Flandin retorted that it was not the time for doctrinal controversies. “We must return progressively to freedom, which does not mean abolishing protection or cancelling exceptional legislation,” he added. The Chamber voted confidence in M. Flandin "by 423 votes to 118. The Socialists abstained from voting.
