Allison (U.S.A.) defeated Gilbert Hunt 6-3, 7-5, 6-4. Stoefen (U.S.A.) defeated James Farrin, junr., 6-1, 6-1, 61. Sutter defeated Elmer Griffin 6-1, 6-2, 6-4. Most of the stars got byes. In the Eastern grass court champion ships at Rye in the doubles tennis final, Misses Stammers and James , (England) defeated Miss Dorothy Andrus (Stamford, Connecticut) and Miss Elizabeth Ryan (U.S.A.), 6-3, 6-3.
