N.Z. ASSOCIATION ,MEETS (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, 26th April. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Hockey Association was held io-nio-lit, Mr II S. J. Goodman presiding. Speaking to the annual report, the chairman referred to the growth of the game in the Dominion, mentioning that the total number of associations affiliated was 20. Officers were elected as iollows: Patron, his Excellency the Governo-r General (Lord Bledisloe); president, Mr H S. J. Goodman; vice-presidents, the presidents of the affiliated associations; •treasurer, Mr P. N. Quartermain; auditor, Mr A. Stewart; management committee, Messrs S. G. Holland, C w. Holland, R. Gracie, H. Thorp, I. Gunn. A. F. Preston, and C. Bellamy. A motion that the holder of the Challenge Shield should not be compelled to defend the shield more than three times in one season was lost
