AUSTRALIAN 5 PASTORAL INDUSTRY RATES OF PAY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CANBERRA, 27th April. The full Arbitration Court announced a new award for the pastoral industry. Shearers are to receive 30s per 100 in the eastern states, and 29s in Western Australia. Station hands are to receive 60s a week throughout the Commonwealth, which is a rise of 6s ; and shed hands 100 s per week without keep, or 74s with keep. Eastern states fast wool pressers receive l’s 9d, and slow pressers 2s per bale. • Cooks will be paid at the rate of 7s per man.
