A message from Little America says that in the morning darkness the dog teams transported the last supplies cached at trie retreat camp. The aviation gang is busy constructing a new snow hangar for the expedition’s three aeroplanes. The others are making the camp secure in various ways, and improving tunnels connecting the buildings. The winter.routine is well established. As modern improvements the expedition has electric light and power, radio broadcasting, repair shops, medical facilities for both men and animals, and a productive dairy. A staff of fifteen scientists is making endless observations and research as to the strength o: the cosmic ray and the flight of meteor across the trackless upper atmosphere,
