WELLINGTON WOOL SALES REGRETTABLE FINISH TO SEASON (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Tills Day. The wool sale to-day lacked keenness and prices it is estimated will be down fully 2d to 3d on March realisations. Early catalogues sold under the hammer were about a third of the contents. Hopes are entertained of the subsequent disposal of lots which failed to reach sellers’ reserves. Germany wauled the finest of wools submitted, hut at prices well below reserves. Bradford was operating under obviously restricted limits. It is estimated that about a third of the offering was knocked down in the room. The quality of the wool submitted must lie taken into account. Catalogues contained hut a few lots likely to interest the Japanese. The slack tone of the sale was in marked contrast with the previous sales. There was a good attendance of buyers. Some prices wen-: Fine crossbred.—7d to ltVJdCrossbred. —old to S.l d.
