NELSON HOMING CLUB
The Nelson Homing Club flew a young bird race from Christchurch for a cup donated by Mr E. ,J. Coupcr Weiluigton. 1 wenty-throe birds representing 6 lofts, were liberated at 10 a m m overcast weather by Mr Gordon !>'"&• J - .W- Haase and Son’s bird No. 2G3 arrived at 5.30 a.m.—tl K , only bird to home on the day. J. W. Haase and -Son are the winners of the cup and arc to he congratulated on their bird’s performance. The second and third birds were tuned-in the following mornmg. Results:—Mr J. W. Haase and Sons No. 263 Red Shadow, Ist; Mr II Simpson’s No. 19, 2nd; Mr J L I id' die’s No. 128, 3rd. ' ’ ''
