POWER BOARD ELECTION

NO CHANGE AT AUCKLAND (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, 18th April, No change in tlie personnel of the Auckland Electric Power 'Board occurred as a result of the quadrennial election to-day. Twelve retiring members, eleven of whom had been on the board since its inception in 1922, were returned with handsome majorities. The chairman (Mr W. J. Holdsworth) topped the poll. A Labour ticket of ten candidates was moderately supported in the city and contiguous districts, but was virtually routed in the other areas.
