RICH FIND BY SEARCHERS IN PAUMOTU ARCHIPELAGO (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MONTREAL, 11th April. An Associated Press message dispatched from Tahiti states that a group of treasure-hunters are tracing a reputedly enormous cache of pirate gold through researches in Sydney, and have discovered over £10,(300,000 worth of metal in an island in the Paumotu Archipelago under 18 feet of sand and water. The French Government is repo'.te l to have placed a guard over the spot. The finders are now organising an engineering expedition and hope to lift lo the surface 25 tons of wedge-shaped gold ingots dating back to the Inca times of Peru.
