Dr. Khalid Sheldrake, an Englishman who has been a Moslem since 1903 re-, ccntly visited Sinkiang, near the Russian border, whore lie had been invited with his wife, to become king and queen of. Sinkiang, whence the Chinese had driven the Turki Government after three months’ exismtence. The province lias been renamed Islamestan. Dr. Sheldrake, who is at present at Hyderabad and is more interested in securing converts to Islam, is undecided whether to accept the oiler of the kingship.
