HUGHES AND FITZGERALD DRAW DECISION GIVEN MIXED RECEPTION v; (By Telegraph—Press Association) AUCKLAND, This Day. A professional lightweight boxing contest between Archie Hughes (Auckland) and Jack Fitzgerald (Australia) ended in a draw, the judges disagreeing. The referee’s decision met with a very mixed reception. Fitzgerald proved himself the cleverest defensive boxer seen in Auckland for years, his opponent being at a loss to know how to hit him. Whenever Fitzgerald chose to open out, he piled on points with a straight left, varied occasionally with a right cross, and he appeared to hold a, comfortable margin at the finish. \
