SALVATION ARMY

BAND AT THE PALACE THEIR MAJESTIES PLEASED LONDON, 28th Mapch. The Salvation Army Band from Chalk Farm, London, one of the bestknown civilian brass bands in England, played by Royal Command at Buckingham Palace to-day. The band was stationed in the courtyard, outside the lunch room, and played while the King and Queen were at lunch. Afterwards Their Majesties stood at the open window and listened to a musical programme, which included several of their favourite pieces. At tlie conclusion the King congratulated the conductor.
