SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL CONCERT r - ' On a recent evening in the hull the children of the Upper Moutere school, assisted by parents and friends, celebrated tlie end of the school year by a most enjoyable concert. Venz; minstrels, senior j boys; chorus, “E- Pari Ra,” “Goodi Night, Ladies.” God Save the King. During the course of the evening, Mr G. Wilkens, a member of the Education Board, presented prizes to the following: Std. 1., IT. Venz; Std. 11., Helen Eggcrs; Std. HI.. B. Johnson; Std. IV., Marie Heine; Std. V., Mary Benyon; Std. VI.. Mollie Scott, F. Heine, R. ! Heine, V. Heine, P. Ralph. Special prize for original poetry, Winsome loggers. 1 Mr Wilkens congratulated the teacher 1 and the pupils on having their environment certificate endorsed, and because of a 100 per cent, pass in the Proficiency certificate examination, all fiv« candidates being successful, j Finally, the head-teacher, Mr Ralph, , and his assistant, Miss Hawker, were presented with gifts from the children, by Roland Heine, captain of the school, oil behalf of the seniors .and by Wdhe ’ Eggcrs on behalf c>f the juniors.
