ATTEMPT TO BLOW SAFE

FAII.S AT ASHBURTON [By Telegraph—Press Association] ASHBURTON. This Day. Ail attempt to blow open a safe in the oflice of Mr W. J. Moore, draper, in East street, was made during the night. The type of explosive used is not known. Tlie lock was merely closed more tightly by the charge. No damage was done to the office. Entrance to the building was gained through a small skylight, and exit was made through the back door. It was tha first case of the kind in Ashburton.
