Three trains coming into Havana with supporters for a Government demonstration to-day against. American intervention were wrecked by unidentified persons, resulting in at least two deaths and several injured. There was an outbreak of shooting on the eve of what officials said would “be the largest demonstration Cuba ever saw”; it also precipitated the resignation of the Mayor. It is understood that the Grau Government is sponsoring the demonstration.
