. NUMBER SENTENCED TO DEATH MANY OTHERS IMPRISONED (United Pres* Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 22nd December, 10.40 a.m.) KOBE, 21st December. Three hundred and forty five alleged Communists were sentenced at Pyongyang, Korea, 23 to death, 20 to life imprisonment and the rest to various terms of imprisonment. The case had been pending over two years. The prisoners were rounded iip in Chientao, over the North Korean border, soon after the Manchurian outbreak. A total embargo on mention of the affair was maintained since the beginning.
