(By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. Damages amounting to £IOOO were awarded it. the Arbitration Court by Mr Justice Frazer in favour of Mary Evans, whose husband, David Evans, barman at the Masonic Hotel, was killed during the larlhqmike on 3rd February, 1931. Deceased ran out into the. street and was killed on the pavement, and it was held that the ambit or scope of duty was impliedly extended under the Act to cover tlie danger area in respect of the building,and its curtilage.
