OPOSSUM SKINS SEIZED
£30,000 SHIPMENT FROM SYDNEY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 17th August. The Customs confiscated sixty thousand opossum skins, of the value of £30,000, shipped from Sydney. A Sydney cable published yesterday stated that local detectives, working in conjunction with Scotland Y’ard, had unearthed an extensive illegal traffic in opossum skins, which have been shipped to London either as rabbit or fox skins, secreted in -wool bales.
